A rare opportunity has arisen for an enthusistic and dedicated trainee to 'earn and learn' whilst undertaking a Modern Apprenticeship in Accounting
Working alongside a small Admin/Finance team and in conjunction with Train Shetland, online training will be delivered towards a valued and professionally recognised qualification, awarded and accredited through the Association of Accounting Technicians. This is an exam based Modern Apprenticeship and a high level of achievement will be expected of the candidate.
During the 4 year apprenticeship, you will be fully supported by existing staff in the workplace and the post will provide you with a wide and varied role to compliment academic training. Weekly study time will be set aside to enable you to complete online modules. Alongside this you will assist in the general administration of DH Marine, including reception duties, maintaining spreadsheets and databases for company records, invoice processing, lifesaving equipment certification, organising staff training and travel and a wide range of other business administration procedures.
No prior experience is necessary as training will be provided, but a good record of education will be essential to meet the challenges of this role.
