Vacancy- Life Saving Equipment Technician (Full Time) (Closed)

DH Marine sells, hires and services marine safety equipment across the marine leisure and commercial sectors. We are accredited by the leading manufacturers of life jackets to inspect and service their equipment locally.
A full time vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to service life jackets, fire extinguishers and co-ordinate the recertification of life rafts and other life saving equipment. Your duties will also include the delivery and collection of equipment, so you should possess a valid driving licence.
The potential exists for the right candidate to expand the role to cover other equipment.
Previous experience is not required but you should have good practical skills and be able to carry out work accurately and to a high standard. Accredited training will be provided.

Electrical Apprentice (Closing Date - 21/04/23)

D H Marine are looking for a motivated individual to join our team of experienced electrical engineers. You would be working alongside our qualified electrical engineers while progressing through the college apprenticeship course to gain a SVQ level 3 in electrical installations in (Aberdeen or Inverness). You will be putting many of your skills learned within the course to practice with the help and support of our engineers.
The 4-year apprenticeships consists of a combination of college hours and on the job experience, leading to a final FICA test and an SVQ/NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installation.
It is a pre-condition of an apprenticeship offer that you must have passed the Scottish Electrical Charitable Training Trust (SECTT) Pre-employment Assessment. To do this you must first register with SECTT, see www.sectt.org.uk and follow the instructions.
  • diagnose and repair faults on an oil & gas support vessel.
  • replace navigational and lighting electrical equipment on a quay.
  • Install & commission electronic control systems on board Aquaculture and pelagic vessels.
  • carry out Installations, maintenance on equipment in the oil and gas sector including ATEX rated fixtures and fittings

Trainee LSA (Life Saving Appliances) Technician – (Full Time)

D H Marine are looking for a motivated individual to join our team to help with the servicing of life jackets, fire extinguishers and organise with the shipping and receiving of safety equipment. In this role you will be working alongside our qualified technician learning different aspects of servicing safety equipment used in the marine industry.
You will also be required to help out in the shop gaining the experience of learning a broader scope of the stock and what is involved in the marine electrical and engineering industry with room to progress throughout different areas within the company while maintaining a key involvement in the safety equipment.
