Dogs Against Drugs Shetland

We continue to support this important local charity
July 1st 2026

We have been supporting the Dogs Against Drugs charity, operating in Shetland, for many years and we are pleased to continue this into 2026.

Between March 2025 and April 2026 the charity was instrumental in stopping more than £238,000 of drugs from entering the Shetland. This brought praise from Shetland’s police chief who also highlighted the worrying drug trends that his officers were keeping a close eye on and were alive to.

The charity’s detection work was carried out alongside their dog handlers’ valuable role educating school children against the dangers of drugs.

"On behalf of all at Dogs Against Drugs, I would like to thank D H Marine for this generous donation towards our running costs".

Kindest regards, Michael Coutts - Project Manager and Drug Dog Instructor
