A single-phase diesel generator was sourced to make maximum use of the existing 63A plug and changeover switch without the need for building modifications.
- High-level technical elements
This generator was sourced to provide the maximum output capacity for single-phase. Hire generators available in Shetland had the level of capacity required but need a three-phase connection to the premises. Converting the building to a three-phase option which came with additional product and building cost implications our client wished to avoid.

Once the client purchase order was placed, the generator was delivered to Shetland and a suitable 63A trailing socket was fitted. The generator was delivered to the clients’ depot three weeks after the placement of their order.
