Their project at Firths Voe is part of the £500mTotal Laggan Tormore Development west of Shetland.
Van Oord will utilise its specialised equipment such as a backhoe dredger, split hopper barge, 600T linear winch and a side stone dumping vessel to install the pipeline at Firths Voe which will connect the offshore pipeline to the onshore pipeline.
This the second time the internationally renowned Dutch company have engaged DH Marine (Shetland) Ltd to supply power on shore, previous work was carried out last year at Orka Voe.
